There are six doors in the theater, and their locations are determined by the directions of the stage. In the performance of the play, the entrance is to be from the eastern and western directions.
By following the prescribed method, the performance on the stage should be conducted without deviating from the set rules. The door, which is located at the center of the stage, should be considered as leading to the eastern direction in the mind of the performer.
The costume should be suitable for the age of the character, and the movement should correspond to the nature of the character. The performance should follow the proper sequence, with the acting style adapted to the text and its requirements.
धर्मी या द्विविधा प्रोक्ता मया पूर्वं द्विजोत्तमाः । लौकिकी नाट्यधर्मी च तयोर्वक्ष्यामि लक्षणम् ॥ ६९॥
