These ten movements, also known as the earthly (Bhūmīgāni), should be performed by first raising the first foot and performing the Janita movement. Then, the Udvāhita should be executed.
The movements known as Alāta, the left (Vāmaka), the Pārśvakrānta (sideward movement) to the right, the Sūcī (needle-like movement) to the left, and again the Pārśvakrānta to the right are described here.
One should perform the Sūcī (needle-like movement) in the left direction, the Apakrānta (sideward movement) to the right, the Sūcī again to the left, and then turn the body in a circular motion (Trika).
Similarly, the Udvṛtta (raised) movement to the right, the Alāta, and the left (Vāmaka) should be performed. The Paricchinna (restricted) movement should be done with the external Bhramaraka (bee-like) movement.
The Atikrānta should be performed again to the left, followed by the Daṇḍapāda to the right. This is to be understood as part of the exercise (Vyāyāma), where the Atikrānta movement forms the Maṇḍala.
