सूचीं वामक्रमं दद्यादपक्रान्तं च दक्षिणम् । सूचीवामं पुनश्चैव त्रिकं च परिवर्तयेत् ॥ ८॥
One should perform the Sūcī (needle-like movement) in the left direction, the Apakrānta (sideward movement) to the right, the Sūcī again to the left, and then turn the body in a circular motion (Trika).
english translation
sUcIM vAmakramaM dadyAdapakrAntaM ca dakSiNam । sUcIvAmaM punazcaiva trikaM ca parivartayet ॥ 8॥
