ततस्तैरसुरैः सार्धं विघ्ना मायामुपाश्रिताः । वाचश्चेष्टां स्मृतिं चैव स्तम्भयन्ति स्म नृत्यताम् ॥ ६६॥
Then, along with the demons, the obstacles resorted to illusions, obstructing speech, gestures, and memory of the performers.

tatastairasuraiH sArdhaM vighnA mAyAmupAzritAH । vAcazceSTAM smRtiM caiva stambhayanti sma nRtyatAm ॥ 66॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथा विध्वंसनं दृष्ट्वा सूत्रधारस्य देवराट् । कस्मात्प्रयोगवैषम्यमित्युक्त्वा ध्यानमाविशत् ॥ ६७॥
Seeing such disruption, the king of gods (Indra) addressed the stage director, asking the reason for the disturbance in the performance, and then entered into meditation.

tathA vidhvaMsanaM dRSTvA sUtradhArasya devarAT । kasmAtprayogavaiSamyamityuktvA dhyAnamAvizat ॥ 67॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथापश्यत्सदो विघ्नैः समन्ताद्परिवारितम् । सहेतरैः सूत्रधारं नष्टसंज्ञं जडीकृतम् ॥ ६८॥
Then he observed the assembly surrounded on all sides by obstacles, and the stage director, deprived of consciousness and rendered motionless by their influence.

athApazyatsado vighnaiH samantAdparivAritam । sahetaraiH sUtradhAraM naSTasaMjJaM jaDIkRtam ॥ 68॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्थाय त्वरितं शक्रं गृहीत्वा ध्वजमुत्तमम् ॥ सर्वरत्नोज्ज्वलतनुः किञ्चिदुद्वृत लोचनः ॥६९॥
Rising swiftly, he took hold of Indra’s excellent banner, his body resplendent with all gems, his eyes slightly upturned.

utthAya tvaritaM zakraM gRhItvA dhvajamuttamam ॥ sarvaratnojjvalatanuH kiJcidudvRta locanaH ॥69॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरङ्गपीठगतान्विघ्नानसुरांश्चैव देवराट् । जर्जरीकृतदेहांस्तानकरोज्जर्जरेण सः ॥७०॥
The king of the gods, Indra, having reached the stage, destroyed the demons and the obstacles, causing them to wither and lose their vitality.
