‘As Krishna lay in slumber, Duryodhana entered the chamber and took a seat upon a fine couch at the head of the bed. After him entered the diadem-bearer, the magnanimous Arjuna, who stood respectfully at the foot of the bed, bowing and joining his hands.’ ।। 5-7-6 ।।
ततः किरीटी तस्यानु परविवेश महामनाः परश्चार्धे च स कृष्णस्य परह्वॊ ऽतिष्ठत कृताञ्जलिः ।। ५-७-७ ।।
‘Then the mighty-minded, crowned one (Duryodhana), approached him, and standing at Krishna’s side, joined his hands in respectful salutation.’ ।। 5-7-7 ।।
परतिबुद्धः स वार्ष्णेयॊ ददर्शाग्रे किरीटिनम स तयॊः सवागतं कृत्वा यथार्थं परतिपूज्य च तद आगमनजं हेतुं पप्रच्छ मधुसूदनः ।। ५-७-८ ।।
‘When the descendant of Vrishni, Krishna, awoke, his first gaze fell upon Arjuna. Having inquired about the safety of their journey and offered appropriate greetings, the slayer of Madhu then asked the visitors the purpose of their coming.’ ।। 5-7-8 ।।
