कृष्णा केशैः परतिच्छाद्य मुखम आयतलॊचना दर्शनीया पररुदती राजानम अनुगच्छति ॥ २-७१-६ ॥

'The large-eyed and beautiful Krishna has departed, covering her face with her disheveled hair, following the king in tears and deep sorrow.' ॥ 2-71-6 ॥

kRSNA kezaiH paraticchAdya mukhama AyatalòcanA darzanIyA pararudatI rAjAnama anugacchati ॥ 2-71-6 ॥

धौम्यॊ याम्यानि सामानि रौद्राणि च विशां पते गायन गच्छति मार्गेषु कुशान आदाय पाणिना ॥ २-७१-७ ॥

'O monarch, Dhaumya proceeds along the road with kusa grass in hand, chanting the formidable mantras from the Sama Veda related to Yama.' ॥ 2-71-7 ॥

dhaumyò yAmyAni sAmAni raudrANi ca vizAM pate gAyana gacchati mArgeSu kuzAna AdAya pANinA ॥ 2-71-7 ॥

[धृ] विविधान्य इह रूपाणि कृत्वा गच्छन्ति पाण्डवाः तन ममाचक्ष्व विदुर कस्माद एवं वरजन्ति ते ॥ २-७१-८ ॥

'Dhritarashtra asked, 'Tell me, Vidura, why are the Pandavas departing from Hastinapura in such diverse disguises?'' ॥ 2-71-8 ॥

[dhR] vividhAnya iha rUpANi kRtvA gacchanti pANDavAH tana mamAcakSva vidura kasmAda evaM varajanti te ॥ 2-71-8 ॥

[वि] निकृतस्यापि ते पुत्रैर हृते राज्ये धनेषु च न धर्माच चलते बुद्धिर धर्मराजस्य धीमतः ॥ २-७१-९ ॥

'Vidura replied: 'Although persecuted by your sons and stripped of his kingdom and wealth, the wise and just King Yudhishthira has not strayed from the path of virtue.'' ॥ 2-71-9 ॥

[vi] nikRtasyApi te putraira hRte rAjye dhaneSu ca na dharmAca calate buddhira dharmarAjasya dhImataH ॥ 2-71-9 ॥

यॊ ऽसौ राजा घृणी नित्यं धार्तराष्ट्रेषु भारत निकृत्या करॊधसंतप्तॊ नॊन्मीलयति लॊचने ॥ २-७१-१० ॥

'King Yudhishthira, O Bharata, is always kind to your children. Despite being deprived of his kingdom and possessions through deceitful means, his eyes remain closed in his wrath.' ॥ 2-71-10 ॥
