'This slayer of all enemies, the son of Parshatta, has allied himself with the Pandavas. I fear that I will lose my life if I ever face him in battle.' ।। 2-71-41 ।।
'What greater sorrow could there be for me than this, O Kauravas? It is widely believed that Dhrishtadyumna is destined to kill me, and this notion is well-known. The impending doom is approaching, and it is all due to you, O Duryodhana.' ।। 2-71-42 ।।
'Act swiftly to secure what is beneficial to you. Do not assume that all is accomplished merely by sending the Pandavas into exile. This fleeting happiness will last but a moment, like the brief shadow of a palm tree's top in winter.' ।। 2-71-43 ।।
यजध्वं च महायज्ञैर भॊगान अश्नीत दत्तच इतश चतुर्दशे वर्षे महत पराप्स्यथ वैशसम ।। २-७१-४४ ।।
'Perform various sacrifices, enjoy yourself, and, O Bharata, take whatever you desire. However, be warned that a great calamity will befall you in the fourteenth year.' ।। 2-71-44 ।।
