न मे कश चिद विजानीयान मुखम अद्येति भारत मुखम आलिप्य तेनासौ सहदेवॊ ऽपि गच्छति ॥ २-७१-१६ ॥
'Sahadeva departs, his face smeared, thinking, 'May no one recognize me on this day of distress.'' ॥ 2-71-16 ॥
english translation
नाहं मनांस्य आददेयं मार्गे सत्रीणाम इति परभॊ पांसूपचित सर्गाङ्गॊ नकुलस तेन गच्छति ॥ २-७१-१७ ॥
'Meanwhile, O exalted one, Nakula goes, covered in dust, to avoid captivating the gaze of any onlookers.' ॥ 2-71-17 ॥
english translation
एकवस्त्रा तु रुदती मुक्तकेशी रजस्वला शॊनिताक्तार्द्र वसना दरौपदी वाक्यम अब्रवीत ॥ २-७१-१८ ॥
'Draupadi, wearing a single garment and with her hair loose and clothes stained with blood, wept as she spoke.' ॥ 2-71-18 ॥
english translation
यत्कृते ऽहम इमां पराप्ता तेषां वर्षे चतुर्दशे हतपत्यॊ हतसुता हतबन्धुजनप्रियाः ॥ २-७१-१९ ॥
'The wives of those who have caused me such suffering will, in the fourteenth year hence, be bereft of their husbands, sons, and loved ones.' ॥ 2-71-19 ॥

बन्धुशॊनित दिग्धाङ्ग्यॊ मुक्तकेश्यॊ रजस्वलाः एवं कृतॊदका नार्यः परवेक्ष्यन्ति गजाह्वयम ॥ २-७१-२० ॥
'The wives of those who have brought me to this wretched state shall, fourteen years from now, be deprived of their husbands, sons, and dear ones. Covered in blood, with disheveled hair, and in the turmoil of their womanhood, they will enter Hastinapura, having performed the last rites for those they have lost.' ॥ 2-71-20 ॥
