एवं विलपतीं कुन्तीम अभिसान्त्व्य परनम्य च पाण्डवा विगतानन्दा वनायैव परवव्रजुः ।। २-७०-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'As Kunti lamented in this manner, she was consoled and respectfully honored by them. The Pandavas, having lost their joy, then departed for the forest.' ।। 2-70-21 ।।

english translation

evaM vilapatIM kuntIma abhisAntvya paranamya ca pANDavA vigatAnandA vanAyaiva paravavrajuH || 2-70-21 ||

विदुरादयश च ताम आर्तां कुन्तीम आश्वास्य हेतुभिः परावेशयन गृहं कषत्तुः सवयम आर्ततराः शनैः ।। २-७०-२२ ।।

sanskrit

'Vidura, deeply distressed himself, consoled the troubled Kunti with various explanations and gently led her to his home. Meanwhile, the ladies of Dhritarashtra's household, having heard of the Pandavas' exile and the dragging of Krishna into the assembly where the princes had gambled, wept loudly and condemned the Kauravas.' ।। 2-70-22 ।।

vidurAdayaza ca tAma ArtAM kuntIma AzvAsya hetubhiH parAvezayana gRhaM kaSattuH savayama ArtatarAH zanaiH || 2-70-22 ||

राजा च धृतराष्ट्रः स शॊकाकुलित चेतनः कषत्तुः संप्रेषयाम आस शीघ्रम आगम्यताम इति ।। २-७०-२३ ।।

sanskrit

'King Dhritarashtra, deeply distressed and overwhelmed with grief, sent a message to Hastinapura, urgently requesting their swift return upon his arrival.' ।। 2-70-23 ।।

ततॊ जगाम विदुरॊ धृतराष्ट्र निवेशनम तं पर्यपृच्छत संविग्नॊ धृतराष्ट्रॊ नराधिपः ।। २-७०-२४ ।।

'Vidura then went to Dhritarashtra's residence. The distressed Dhritarashtra, deeply anxious, inquired about his well-being.' ।। 2-70-24 ।।
