[व] तस्मिन संप्रस्थिते कृष्णा पृथां पराप्य यशस्विनीम आपृच्छद भृशदुःखार्ता याश चान्यास तत्र यॊषितः ॥ २-७०-१ ॥
'When he departed, the glorious Krishna (Draupadi), overwhelmed with intense sorrow, Approached Pritha (Kunti) and other women there to bid farewell.' ॥ 2-70-1 ॥
english translation
[va] tasmina saMprasthite kRSNA pRthAM parApya yazasvinIma ApRcchada bhRzaduHkhArtA yAza cAnyAsa tatra yòSitaH ॥ 2-70-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथार्हं वन्दनाश्लेषान कृत्वा गन्तुम इयेष सा ततॊ निनादः सुमहान पाण्डवान्तः पुरे ऽभवत ॥ २-७०-२ ॥
'After respectfully saluting and embracing each of them as was fitting, she expressed her desire to depart. Then, a great uproar arose in the Pandava palace.' ॥ 2-70-2 ॥

yathArhaM vandanAzleSAna kRtvA gantuma iyeSa sA tatò ninAdaH sumahAna pANDavAntaH pure 'bhavata ॥ 2-70-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकुन्ती च भृशसंतप्ता दरौपदीं परेक्ष्य गच्छतीम शॊकविह्वलया वाचा कृच्छ्राद वचनम अब्रवीत ॥ २-७०-३ ॥
'And Kunti, deeply distressed upon seeing Draupadi preparing to leave, spoke these words with a voice choked by grief:' ॥ 2-70-3 ॥

kuntI ca bhRzasaMtaptA daraupadIM parekSya gacchatIma zòkavihvalayA vAcA kRcchrAda vacanama abravIta ॥ 2-70-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवत्से शॊकॊ न ते कार्यः पराप्येदं वयसनं महत सत्री धर्माणाम अभिज्ञासि शीलाचारवती तथा ॥ २-७०-४ ॥
'O child, do not lament over this great misfortune that has befallen you. You are well-versed in the responsibilities of womanhood, and your behavior and conduct are exemplary.' ॥ 2-70-4 ॥

vatse zòkò na te kAryaH parApyedaM vayasanaM mahata satrI dharmANAma abhijJAsi zIlAcAravatI tathA ॥ 2-70-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन तवां संदेष्टुम अर्हामि भर्तॄन परति शुचिस्मिते साध्वी गुणसमाधानैर भूषितं ते कुलद्वयम ॥ २-७०-५ ॥
'It is not for me to instruct you, O lady with the gentle smile, on your duties toward your husbands. You are chaste and accomplished, and your virtues have enhanced both your birth family and the family you have joined through marriage.' ॥ 2-70-5 ॥

na tavAM saMdeSTuma arhAmi bhartRRna parati zucismite sAdhvI guNasamAdhAnaira bhUSitaM te kuladvayama ॥ 2-70-5 ॥
