मा ह सम सुकृताँल लॊकान गच्छेत पार्थॊ वृकॊदरः यदि वक्षसि भित्त्वा ते न पिबेच छॊणितं रणे ॥ २-६८-२१ ॥
'I declare that if Vrikodara, the son of Pritha, does not drink your life-blood by piercing your breast in battle, let him not attain the blessed realms.' ॥ 2-68-21 ॥
english translation
धार्तराष्ट्रान रणे हत्वा मिषतां सर्वधन्विनाम शमं गन्तास्मि नचिरात सत्यम एतद बरवीमि वः ॥ २-६८-२२ ॥
'I tell you truly, by slaying the sons of Dhritarashtra in battle, before the eyes of all the warriors, I shall soon pacify this wrath of mine.' ॥ 2-68-22 ॥

वैशंपायन उवाच तस्य राजा सिंहगतेः सखेलं; दुर्यॊधनॊ भीमसेनस्य हर्षात गतिं सवगत्यानुचकार मन्दॊ; निर्गच्छतां पाण्डवानां सभायाः ॥ २-६८-२३ ॥
'Vaishampayana continued, 'As the Pandavas were leaving the assembly, the wicked King Duryodhana, overcome with joy, mockingly imitated Bhima's powerful, leonine stride with his own steps.'' ॥ 2-68-23 ॥

नैतावता कृतम इत्य अब्रवीत तं; वृकॊदरः संनिवृत्तार्धकायः शीघ्रं हि तवा निहतं सानुबन्धं; संस्मार्याहं परतिवक्ष्यामि मूढ ॥ २-६८-२४ ॥
'Then Vrikodara, half-turning towards the king, said, 'Do not think, fool, that this gives you any power over me. Soon, I shall slay you and all your followers, and then I shall remind you of this moment before giving you my true answer.'' ॥ 2-68-24 ॥

एतत समीक्ष्यात्मनि चावमानं; नियम्य मन्युं बलवान स मानी राजानुगः संसदि कौरवाणां; विनिष्क्रमन वाक्यम उवाच भीमः ॥ २-६८-२५ ॥
'Suppressing his rising anger and following Yudhishthira, the mighty and proud Bhima, while leaving the Kaurava court, spoke these words;' ॥ 2-68-25 ॥
