बद्धं सेतुं कॊ नु भिन्द्याद धमेच छान्तं च पावकम शमे धृतान पुनः पार्थान कॊपयेत कॊ नु भारत ।। २-६६-३२ ।।
'O lord, do not endorse the advice of the wicked and inexperienced. Do not become the cause of the dreadful destruction of our lineage. Who would break a completed dam or rekindle a fire that has been extinguished? O foremost of the Bharatas, who would provoke the peaceful sons of Pritha?' ।। 2-66-32 ।।
समरन्तं तवाम आजमीढ समारयिष्याम्य अहं पुनः शास्त्रं न शास्ति दुर्बुद्धिं शरेयसे वेतराय वा ।। २-६६-३३ ।।
'O Ajamida, although you remember everything, I must still draw your attention to this: Scriptures cannot influence those with wicked minds, whether for good or ill. Moreover, a person of immature understanding will never act with the wisdom of maturity.' ।। 2-66-33 ।।
शमेन धर्मेण परस्य बुद्ध्या; जाता बुद्धिः सास्तु ते मा परतीपा परध्वंसिनी करूरसमाहिता शरीर; मृदुप्रौढा गच्छति पुत्रपौत्रान ।। २-६६-३५ ।।
'O king. Let your mind, guided by peace, virtue, and wise counsel, return to its natural state. Prosperity gained through wicked means is fleeting, while that achieved through righteous and gentle methods endures and is passed down through generations.' ।। 2-66-35 ।।
