तस्मिन्न उपरते शब्दे भीमसेनॊ ऽबरवीद इदम परगृह्य विपुलं वृत्तं भुजं चन्दनरूषितम ॥ २-६२-३१ ॥
'And when that busy hum of many voices became still, Bhimasena, waving his strong and well-formed arms smeared with sandal paste spoke these words.' ॥ 2-62-31 ॥
english translation
tasminna uparate zabde bhImasenò 'baravIda idama paragRhya vipulaM vRttaM bhujaM candanarUSitama ॥ 2-62-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयद्य एष गुरुर अस्माकं धर्मराजॊ युधिष्ठिरः न परभुः सयात कुलस्यास्य न वयं मर्षयेमहि ॥ २-६२-३२ ॥
'If this high-souled king Yudhishthira the Just, who is our eldest brother, were not our lord, we would never have forgiven the Kuru race for what has transpired.' ॥ 2-62-32 ॥
english translation
yadya eSa gurura asmAkaM dharmarAjò yudhiSThiraH na parabhuH sayAta kulasyAsya na vayaM marSayemahi ॥ 2-62-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptईशॊ नः पुण्यतपसां पराणानाम अपि चेश्वरः मन्यते जितम आत्मानं यद्य एष विजिता वयम ॥ २-६२-३३ ॥
'He is the guardian of all our religious and ascetic merits, and even the lord of our lives. If he considers himself defeated, then we too are defeated.' ॥ 2-62-33 ॥
english translation
Izò naH puNyatapasAM parANAnAma api cezvaraH manyate jitama AtmAnaM yadya eSa vijitA vayama ॥ 2-62-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन हि मुच्येत जीवन मे पदा भूमिम उपस्पृशन मर्त्यधर्मा परामृश्य पाञ्चाल्या मूर्धजान इमान ॥ २-६२-३४ ॥
'Otherwise, who among the mortals, touching the earth with their feet, would escape with their life after having touched the locks of the princess of Panchala?' ॥ 2-62-34 ॥
english translation
na hi mucyeta jIvana me padA bhUmima upaspRzana martyadharmA parAmRzya pAJcAlyA mUrdhajAna imAna ॥ 2-62-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपश्यध्वम आयतौ वृत्तौ भुजौ मे परिघाव इव नैतयॊर अन्तरं पराप्य मुच्येतापि शतक्रतुः ॥ २-६२-३५ ॥
'Behold these mighty, well-formed arms of mine, as formidable as iron maces. Once caught within their grasp, even one who has performed a hundred sacrifices cannot escape.' ॥ 2-62-35 ॥

pazyadhvama Ayatau vRttau bhujau me parighAva iva naitayòra antaraM parApya mucyetApi zatakratuH ॥ 2-62-35 ॥
