धर्मपाशसितस तव एवं नाधिगच्छामि संकटम गौरवेण निरुद्धश च निग्रहाद अर्जुनस्य च ।। २-६२-३६ ।।
'Bound by the ties of virtue and reverence for our eldest brother, and repeatedly urged by Arjuna to remain silent, I am not committing any transgression.' ।। 2-62-36 ।।
'If, however, I am commanded by King Yudhishthira the Just, I would deal with these wretched sons of Dhritarashtra as a lion deals with small beasts, using slaps as if they were swords.' ।। 2-62-37 ।।
तम उवाच तदा भीष्मॊ दरॊणॊ विदुर एव च कषम्यताम एवम इत्य एवं सर्वं संभवति तवयि ।। २-६२-३८ ।।
