'At these words, Draupadi, overwhelmed with grief, rose and wiped her pale face with her hands. Distressed, she fled to where the ladies of Dhritarashtra’s household were gathered.' ।। 2-60-21 ।।
ये राजसूयावभृथे जलेन; महाक्रतौ मन्त्रपूतेन सिक्ताः ते पाण्डवानां परिभूय वीर्यं; बलात परमृष्टा धृतराष्ट्र जेन ।। २-६०-२३ ।।
'Those very locks, which had been sanctified with water and mantras during the great Rajasuya sacrifice, were now seized by the son of Dhritarashtra, disregarding the might of the Pandavas.' ।। 2-60-23 ।।
स तां परामृश्य सभा समीपम; आनीय कृष्णाम अतिकृष्ण केशीम दुःशासनॊ नाथवतीम अनाथवच; चकर्ष वायुः कदलीम इवार्ताम ।। २-६०-२४ ।।
'Dussasana dragged Krishna, with her long, dark locks, into the assembly, treating her as if she were helpless despite her powerful protectors. He pulled at her with such force that she trembled like a banana plant in a storm.' ।। 2-60-24 ।।
'As she was being dragged, with her body bowed, she slowly said, 'I am menstruating today. O foolish one, you do not have the right to bring me into the assembly with only one garment.'' ।। 2-60-25 ।।
