मज्जन्त्य अलाबूनि शिलाः पलवन्ते; मुह्यन्ति नावॊ ऽमभसि शश्वद एव मूढॊ राजा धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्रॊ; न मे वाचः पथ्यरूपाः शृणॊति ।। २-५९-११ ।।
'Even though gourds may sink and stones may float, and boats may constantly capsize in water, the foolish king, the son of Dhritarashtra, still does not heed my words, which are meant as guidance for him.' ।। 2-59-11 ।।
'Without a doubt, he will be the cause of the Kurus' destruction. When wise counsel from friends, which serves as valuable guidance, is ignored, and temptation only increases, a terrible and all-encompassing ruin is certain to befall the Kurus.' ।। 2-59-12 ।।
