[ष] अस्ति वै ते परिया देवी गलह एकॊ ऽपराजितः पणस्व कृष्णां पाञ्चालीं तयात्मानं पुनर जय ।। २-५८-३१ ।।
'Then, addressing Yudhishthira, Shakuni said, 'O King, there is still one stake dear to you that remains unwon. Stake Draupadi, the princess of Panchala. Through her, seek to win back what you have lost.' ।। 2-58-31 ।।
[य] नैव हरस्वा न महती नातिकृष्णा न रॊहिणी सराग रक्तनेत्रा च तया दीव्याम्य अहं तवया ।। २-५८-३२ ।।
'Yudhishthira said, "I will now gamble with you using Draupadi as the stake. She is neither short nor tall, neither lean nor corpulent, and has blue, curly hair."' ।। 2-58-32 ।।
'Possessing eyes like the petals of the autumn lotus and a fragrance reminiscent of the lotus, she matches the beauty of Lakshmi, who delights in the autumn lotus, in symmetry and grace.' ।। 2-58-33 ।।
तथैव सयाद आनृशंस्यात तथा सयाद रूपसंपदा तथा सयाच छील संपत्त्या याम इच्छेत पुरुषः सत्रियम ।। २-५८-३४ ।।
'She is a woman desired for her softness of heart, wealth of beauty, and virtues. Endowed with every accomplishment, compassion, and sweet speech, she is perfectly suited for a wife in terms of virtue, pleasure, and wealth.' ।। 2-58-34 ।।
