[वि] एतावता ये पुरुषं तयजन्ति; तेषां सख्यम अन्तवद बरूहि राजन राज्ञां हि चित्तानि परिप्लुतानि; सान्त्वं दत्त्वा मुसलैर घातयन्ति ॥ २-५७-१३ ॥
'Vidura, addressing Dhritarashtra, said, "O King, impartially share your thoughts on the conduct of those who abandon their servants after giving them instructions. Indeed, the hearts of kings are often very fickle. Initially offering protection, they may ultimately turn against their subjects."' ॥ 2-57-13 ॥
