न सन्तीमे धार्तराष्ट्रा येषां तवम अनुशासिता भविष्यम अर्थम आख्यासि सदा तवं कृत्यम आत्मनः ॥ २-५०-११ ॥
'Your sons and allies are doomed to destruction because you, their leader, delay what should be done now by only discussing what can be achieved in the future.' ॥ 2-50-11 ॥
english translation
na santIme dhArtarASTrA yeSAM tavama anuzAsitA bhaviSyama arthama AkhyAsi sadA tavaM kRtyama AtmanaH ॥ 2-50-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरप्रणेयॊ ऽगरणीर हि यश च मार्गात परमुह्यति पन्थानम अनुगच्छेयुः कथं तस्य पदानुगाः ॥ २-५०-१२ ॥
'He often trippeth whose guide acts under the instructions of others. How then can his followers expect to come across the right path?' ॥ 2-50-12 ॥

parapraNeyò 'garaNIra hi yaza ca mArgAta paramuhyati panthAnama anugaccheyuH kathaM tasya padAnugAH ॥ 2-50-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptराजन परिगत परज्ञॊ वृद्धसेवी जितेन्द्रियः परतिपन्नान सवकार्येषु संमॊहयसि नॊ भृषम ॥ २-५०-१३ ॥
'O king, you possess mature wisdom, have the opportunity to heed the advice of the elderly, and your senses are under control. It is unbecoming of you to confuse those of us who are focused on pursuing our interests.' ॥ 2-50-13 ॥

rAjana parigata parajJò vRddhasevI jitendriyaH paratipannAna savakAryeSu saMmòhayasi nò bhRSama ॥ 2-50-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलॊकवृत्ताद राजवृत्तम अन्यद आह बृहस्पतिः तस्माद राज्ञा परयत्नेन सवार्थश चिन्त्यः सदैव हि ॥ २-५०-१४ ॥
'Vrihaspati hath said that the usage of kings are different from those of common people. Therefore kings should always attend to their interests with vigilance.' ॥ 2-50-14 ॥

lòkavRttAda rAjavRttama anyada Aha bRhaspatiH tasmAda rAjJA parayatnena savArthaza cintyaH sadaiva hi ॥ 2-50-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकषत्रियस्य महाराज जये वृत्तिः समाहिता स वै धर्मॊ ऽसत्व अधर्मॊ वा सववृत्तौ भरतर्षभ ॥ २-५०-१५ ॥
'For a Kshatriya, achieving success is the ultimate standard guiding his actions. Whether the methods used are virtuous or sinful, there is no room for hesitation in fulfilling one's duties.' ॥ 2-50-15 ॥

kaSatriyasya mahArAja jaye vRttiH samAhitA sa vai dharmò 'satva adharmò vA savavRttau bharatarSabha ॥ 2-50-15 ॥
