परप्रणेयॊ ऽगरणीर हि यश च मार्गात परमुह्यति पन्थानम अनुगच्छेयुः कथं तस्य पदानुगाः ॥ २-५०-१२ ॥

sanskrit

'He often trippeth whose guide acts under the instructions of others. How then can his followers expect to come across the right path?' ॥ 2-50-12 ॥

english translation

parapraNeyò 'garaNIra hi yaza ca mArgAta paramuhyati panthAnama anugaccheyuH kathaM tasya padAnugAH ॥ 2-50-12 ॥
