कच चिद अङ्गेषु निष्णातॊ जयॊतिषां परतिपादकः उत्पातेषु च सर्वेषु दैवज्ञः कुशलस तव ॥ २-५-३१ ॥
'Has the astrologer you've engaged mastered physiognomy, adept at interpreting omens, and proficient in mitigating the effects of natural disturbances?' ॥ 2-5-31 ॥

kaca cida aGgeSu niSNAtò jayòtiSAM paratipAdakaH utpAteSu ca sarveSu daivajJaH kuzalasa tava ॥ 2-5-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकच चिन मुख्या महत्स्व एव मध्यमेषु च मध्यमाः जघन्याश च जघन्येषु भृत्याः कर्मसु यॊजिताः ॥ २-५-३२ ॥
'Have you appointed honorable servants to positions of honor, mediocre ones to middling roles, and lesser ones to lower positions? Have you chosen ministers of integrity and noble lineage for high offices, surpassing the ordinary?' ॥ 2-5-32 ॥

kaca cina mukhyA mahatsva eva madhyameSu ca madhyamAH jaghanyAza ca jaghanyeSu bhRtyAH karmasu yòjitAH ॥ 2-5-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअमात्यान उपधातीतान पितृपैतामहाञ शुचीन शरेष्ठाञ शरेष्ठेषु कच चित तवं नियॊजयसि कर्मसु ॥ २-५-३३ ॥
'Do you appoint ministers from respectable lineages, free from blemish, to the posts of ministers and to those of your father and grandfather? Do you appoint the most distinguished to the most important duties?' ॥ 2-5-33 ॥

amAtyAna upadhAtItAna pitRpaitAmahAJa zucIna zareSThAJa zareSTheSu kaca cita tavaM niyòjayasi karmasu ॥ 2-5-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकच चिन नॊग्रेण दण्डेन भृशम उद्वेजित परजाः राष्ट्रं तवानुशासन्ति मन्त्रिणॊ भरतर्षभ ॥ २-५-३४ ॥
'Do you refrain from oppressing your people with cruel and severe punishment, O leader of the Bharata lineage? And, do your ministers govern your kingdom according to your directives?' ॥ 2-5-34 ॥

kaca cina nògreNa daNDena bhRzama udvejita parajAH rASTraM tavAnuzAsanti mantriNò bharatarSabha ॥ 2-5-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकच चित तवां नावजानन्ति याजकाः पतितं यथा उग्रप्रतिग्रहीतारं कामयानम इव सत्रियः ॥ २-५-३५ ॥
'Do your ministers ever disrespect you like sacrificial priests do to fallen men, or like wives do to arrogant and uncontrolled husbands?' ॥ 2-5-35 ॥

kaca cita tavAM nAvajAnanti yAjakAH patitaM yathA ugrapratigrahItAraM kAmayAnama iva satriyaH ॥ 2-5-35 ॥
