सुजातयः शरेणिमन्तः शरेयांसः शस्त्रपाणयः आहार्षुः कषत्रिया वित्तं शतशॊ ऽजातशत्रवे ।। २-४८-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'The Sujatas, the Shareni-mantas, the Shreyamsas, and those skilled in weapons, along with the Kshatriyas bringing their wealth in hundreds, all presented their tributes to the unconquered king.' ।। 2-48-16 ।।

english translation

'The kings of those nations each presented a thousand elephants, adorned with tusks resembling plow shafts and decorated with golden girdles. These elephants were covered with luxurious blankets, giving them a hue akin to lotuses. And they were all darkish as rocks and always musty, and procured from the sides of the Kamyaka lake, and covered with defensive armor.' ।। 2-48-19 ।।

ISA dantAna hemakakSAna padmavarNAna kuthAvRtAna zailAbhAna nityamattAMza ca abhitaH kAmyakaM saraH || 2-48-19 ||
