ईषा दन्तान हेमकक्षान पद्मवर्णान कुथावृतान शैलाभान नित्यमत्तांश च अभितः काम्यकं सरः ॥ २-४८-१९ ॥
'The kings of those nations each presented a thousand elephants, adorned with tusks resembling plow shafts and decorated with golden girdles. These elephants were covered with luxurious blankets, giving them a hue akin to lotuses. And they were all darkish as rocks and always musty, and procured from the sides of the Kamyaka lake, and covered with defensive armor.' ॥ 2-48-19 ॥

ISA dantAna hemakakSAna padmavarNAna kuthAvRtAna zailAbhAna nityamattAMza ca abhitaH kAmyakaM saraH ॥ 2-48-19 ॥
