'They also provided thousands of garments not made from cotton, but in the color of lotus flowers, all of which had a smooth texture. Additionally, they presented thousands of soft sheep-skins.' ।। 2-47-23 ।।
'And they also gave many sharp and long swords and scimitars, and hatchets and fine-edged battle-axes manufactured in the western countries.' ।। 2-47-24 ।।
रसान गन्धांश च विविधान रत्नानि च सहस्रशः बलिं च कृत्स्नम आदाय दवारि तिष्ठन्ति वारिताः ।। २-४७-२५ ।।
'And having presented perfumes and jewels and gems of various kinds by thousands as tribute, they waited at the gate, being refused admission into the palace.' ।। 2-47-25 ।।
