'And, O king, after the chief of the Satwata race had departed for Dwaraka, King Duryodhana alone, accompanied by Shakuni, the son of Suvala, remained in the celestial assembly hall. These two, the foremost among men, continued to reside there.' ।। 2-42-60 ।।

gate davAravatIM kRSNe sAtvata paravare nRpa ekò duryòdhanò rAjA zakuniza cApi saubalaH tasyAM sabhAyAM divyAyAma USatusa tau nararSabhau || 2-42-60 ||
