गते दवारवतीं कृष्णे सात्वत परवरे नृप एकॊ दुर्यॊधनॊ राजा शकुनिश चापि सौबलः तस्यां सभायां दिव्यायाम ऊषतुस तौ नरर्षभौ ॥ २-४२-६० ॥
'And, O king, after the chief of the Satwata race had departed for Dwaraka, King Duryodhana alone, accompanied by Shakuni, the son of Suvala, remained in the celestial assembly hall. These two, the foremost among men, continued to reside there.' ॥ 2-42-60 ॥
