एष माया परतिच्छन्नः करूषार्थे तपस्विनीम जहार भद्रां वैशालीं मातुलस्य नृशंसकृत ।। २-४२-११ ।।

'This wretch, who has injured his own maternal uncle, disguised himself as the king of Karusha and abducted the innocent Bhadra, the princess of Visala, who was intended to marry the king of Karusha.' ।। 2-42-11 ।।

english translation

eSa mAyA paraticchannaH karUSArthe tapasvinIma jahAra bhadrAM vaizAlIM mAtulasya nRzaMsakRta || 2-42-11 ||

पितृस्वसुः कृते दुःखं सुमहन मर्षयाम्य अहम दिष्ट्या तव इदं सर्वराज्ञां संनिधाव अद्य वर्तते ।। २-४२-१२ ।।

'I have borne all these sorrows patiently for the sake of my father's sister. However, it is very fortunate that all this has come to light today in the presence of all the kings.' ।। 2-42-12 ।।

pitRsvasuH kRte duHkhaM sumahana marSayAmya ahama diSTyA tava idaM sarvarAjJAM saMnidhAva adya vartate || 2-42-12 ||

पश्यन्ति हि भवन्तॊ ऽदय मय्य अतीव वयतिक्रमम कृतानि तु परॊक्षं मे यानि तानि निबॊधत ।। २-४२-१३ ।।

'Behold, all of you, the hostility this one bears towards me today. Also, be aware of the wrongs he has done to me in secret.' ।। 2-42-13 ।।

pazyanti hi bhavantò 'daya mayya atIva vayatikramama kRtAni tu paròkSaM me yAni tAni nibòdhata || 2-42-13 ||

इमं तव अस्य न शक्ष्यामि कषन्तुम अद्य वयतिक्रमम अवलेपाद वधार्हस्य समग्रे राजमण्डले ।। २-४२-१४ ।।

'I will not be able to tolerate this transgression of yours today, In the entire assembly of kings, you deserve death due to your arrogance.' ।। 2-42-14 ।।

imaM tava asya na zakSyAmi kaSantuma adya vayatikramama avalepAda vadhArhasya samagre rAjamaNDale || 2-42-14 ||

रुक्मिण्याम अस्य मूढस्य परार्थनासीन मुमूर्षतः न च तां पराप्तवान मूढः शूद्रॊ वेदश्रुतिं यथा ।। २-४२-१५ ।।

'This fool, seeking a swift death, desired Rukmini, but like a Sudra failing to hear the Vedas, he did not obtain her.' ।। 2-42-15 ।।

rukmiNyAma asya mUDhasya parArthanAsIna mumUrSataH na ca tAM parAptavAna mUDhaH zUdrò vedazrutiM yathA || 2-42-15 ||
