नातिचक्राम भीष्मस्य स हि वाक्यम अरिंदमः समुद्धूतॊ घनापाये वेलाम इव महॊदधिः ॥ २-३९-१५ ॥

sanskrit

'Bhima, the chastiser of foes, could not defy Bhishma's words, just as the ocean, even when swollen by the rains, never oversteps its boundaries.' ॥ 2-39-15 ॥

english translation

nAticakrAma bhISmasya sa hi vAkyama ariMdamaH samuddhUtò ghanApAye velAma iva mahòdadhiH ॥ 2-39-15 ॥
