[व] ततॊ भीष्मः शांतनवॊ बुद्ध्या निश्चित्य भारत वार्ष्णेयं मन्यते कृष्णम अर्हणीयतमं भुवि ॥ २-३३-२७ ॥

sanskrit

'Vaisampayana continued, "Then, O Bharata, Bhishma, the son of Santanu, using his discernment, judged that Krishna, the son of Vasudeva, was the foremost among all those present on earth."' ॥ 2-33-27 ॥

english translation

[va] tatò bhISmaH zAMtanavò buddhyA nizcitya bhArata vArSNeyaM manyate kRSNama arhaNIyatamaM bhuvi ॥ 2-33-27 ॥
