सर्वकामाश च कार्यन्तां रसगन्धसमन्विताः मनॊहराः परीतिकरा दविजानां कुरुसत्तम ॥ २-३०-३१ ॥

'Let these foremost of the Kurus also gather every item of pleasing taste and fragrance to delight and attract the hearts of the Brahmanas.' ॥ 2-30-31 ॥

english translation

sarvakAmAza ca kAryantAM rasagandhasamanvitAH manòharAH parItikarA davijAnAM kurusattama ॥ 2-30-31 ॥

तद वाक्यसमकालं तु कृतं सर्वम अवेदयत सहदेवॊ युधां शरेष्ठॊ धर्मराजे महात्मनि ॥ २-३०-३२ ॥

'Simultaneously with the words of King Yudhishthira the just, Sahadeva, the foremost of warriors, promptly executed all tasks and reported back to the king.' ॥ 2-30-32 ॥

tada vAkyasamakAlaM tu kRtaM sarvama avedayata sahadevò yudhAM zareSThò dharmarAje mahAtmani ॥ 2-30-32 ॥

ततॊ दवैपायनॊ राजन्न ऋत्विजः समुपानयत वेदान इव महाभागान साक्षान मूर्तिमतॊ दविजान ॥ २-३०-३३ ॥

'O king, then Dwaipayana appointed as sacrificial priests exalted Brahmanas who were the very embodiment of the Vedas.' ॥ 2-30-33 ॥

tatò davaipAyanò rAjanna RtvijaH samupAnayata vedAna iva mahAbhAgAna sAkSAna mUrtimatò davijAna ॥ 2-30-33 ॥

सवयं बरह्मत्वम अकरॊत तस्य सत्यवती सुतः धनंजयानाम ऋषभः सुसामा सामगॊ ऽभवत ॥ २-३०-३४ ॥

'The son of Satyavati, Vyasa, himself became the Brahma of that sacrifice, while Susaman, the bull of the Dhananjaya race, chanted the Vedic (Sama) hymns.' ॥ 2-30-34 ॥

savayaM barahmatvama akaròta tasya satyavatI sutaH dhanaMjayAnAma RSabhaH susAmA sAmagò 'bhavata ॥ 2-30-34 ॥

याज्ञवल्क्यॊ बभूवाथ बरह्मिष्ठॊ ऽधवर्यु सत्तमः पैलॊ हॊता वसॊः पुत्रॊ धौम्येन सहितॊ ऽभवत ॥ २-३०-३५ ॥

'Yajnavalkya, devoted to Brahma, served as the Adhvaryu, and Paila, the son of Vasu, along with Dhaumya, became the Hotris.' ॥ 2-30-35 ॥
