उपस्पृश्य शुचिर भूत्वा सॊ ऽबरवीत पावकं ततः तवदर्थॊ ऽयं समारम्भः कृष्णवर्त्मन नमॊ ऽसतु ते ॥ २-२८-२७ ॥

sanskrit

'After purifying himself and touching the water, the hero Sahadeva then addressed Agni, the sanctifier of all things, with the following words:"This endeavor is for your sake, O Dark-pathed One. Salutations to you."' ॥ 2-28-27 ॥

english translation

upaspRzya zucira bhUtvA sò 'baravIta pAvakaM tataH tavadarthò 'yaM samArambhaH kRSNavartmana namò 'satu te ॥ 2-28-27 ॥
