ततॊ दक्षिणमल्लांश च भॊगवन्तं च पाण्डवः तरसैवाजयद भीमॊ नातितीव्रेण कर्मणा ॥ २-२७-११ ॥
'Then Bhima, with minimal effort and in a short time, subdued the southern Mallas and the Bhagauanta mountains.' ॥ 2-27-11 ॥

'The lord conquered the Sharmakans and Varmakans through conciliation alone. And the tiger among men conquered the king of Videha, Janaka, the lord of the earth, through not too severe actions.' ॥ 2-27-12 ॥
