तत्र तित्तिरि कल्माषान मण्डूकाक्षान हयॊत्तमान लेभे स करम अत्यन्तं गन्धर्वनगरात तदा ॥ २-२५-६ ॥

'Here, the conqueror received numerous excellent horses as tribute from the country, including breeds such as Tittiri, Kalmasha, and Manduka.' ॥ 2-25-6 ॥

english translation

tatra tittiri kalmASAna maNDUkAkSAna hayòttamAna lebhe sa karama atyantaM gandharvanagarAta tadA ॥ 2-25-6 ॥

उत्तरं हरिवर्षं तु समासाद्य स पाण्डवः इयेष जेतुं तं देशं पाकशासननन्दनः ॥ २-२५-७ ॥

'Finally, the son of the slayer of Paka (Indra) arrived in the country of North Harivarsha, with a desire to conquer it.' ॥ 2-25-7 ॥

uttaraM harivarSaM tu samAsAdya sa pANDavaH iyeSa jetuM taM dezaM pAkazAsananandanaH ॥ 2-25-7 ॥

तत एनं महाकाया महावीर्या महाबलाः दवारपालाः समासाद्य हृष्टा वचनम अब्रुवन ॥ २-२५-८ ॥

'There, the gatekeepers of great size, immense strength, and immense power, joyfully approached him and spoke these words.' ॥ 2-25-8 ॥

tata enaM mahAkAyA mahAvIryA mahAbalAH davArapAlAH samAsAdya hRSTA vacanama abruvana ॥ 2-25-8 ॥

पार्थ नेदं तवया शक्यं पुरं जेतुं कथं चन उपावर्तस्व कल्याण पर्याप्तम इदम अच्युत ॥ २-२५-९ ॥

'O son of Pritha, this land cannot be conquered by you. If you seek your own well-being, return from here.' ॥ 2-25-9 ॥

english translation

pArtha nedaM tavayA zakyaM puraM jetuM kathaM cana upAvartasva kalyANa paryAptama idama acyuta ॥ 2-25-9 ॥

इदं पुरं यः परविशेद धरुवं स न भवेन नरः परीयामहे तवया वीर पर्याप्तॊ विजयस तव ॥ २-२५-१० ॥

'Any human who enters this region is certain to perish. We are satisfied with you; your conquests have been more than enough.' ॥ 2-25-10 ॥

idaM puraM yaH paravizeda dharuvaM sa na bhavena naraH parIyAmahe tavayA vIra paryAptò vijayasa tava ॥ 2-25-10 ॥
