शक्र विष्णू हि संग्रामे चेरतुस तारका मये रथेन तेन तं कृष्ण उपारुह्य ययौ तदा ।। २-२२-१६ ।।
'It was on this chariot that Indra and Vishnu had once fought in the ancient battle against the Asuras, where Taraka, the wife of Vrihaspati, became the cause of great slaughter. And riding upon that car Krishna now came out of the hill-fort.' ।। 2-22-16 ।।
'Adorned with the brilliance of heated gold, embellished with rows of jingling bells, and equipped with wheels whose noise resembled the roar of clouds, this chariot was perpetually victorious in battle, always defeating its foes.' ।। 2-22-17 ।।
'The three cousins, those bulls among men, were exceedingly pleased upon receiving that chariot. The people of Magadha marveled greatly upon seeing Krishna, the long-armed one, along with his two brothers seated in Jarasandha's chariot.' ।। 2-22-19 ।।
