'Maintaining steadfast adherence to the practices of my lineage, I never harm those under my command. Therefore, it seems you accuse me wrongly!' ।। 2-20-6 ।।
'Krishna replied, "O mighty-armed one, there is a leader of a royal lineage who upholds the honor of his dynasty. It is at his order that we have come against you."' ।। 2-20-7 ।।
राजा राज्ञः कथं साधून हिंस्यान नृपतिसत्तम तद राज्ञः संनिगृह्य तवं रुद्रायॊपजिहीर्षसि ।। २-२०-७ ।।
'O king, you have brought many Kshatriyas from around the world as captives to your city. Having committed this heinous act, how can you still consider yourself innocent?' ।। 2-20-8 ।।
'O best of monarchs, how can a king act unjustly towards other virtuous kings? Yet, O king, by treating other kings cruelly, you intend to sacrifice them to the god Rudra! O son of Vrihadratha, this sin committed by you may affect us as well, for we uphold virtue in our actions and are capable of defending righteousness.' ।। 2-20-9 ।।
मनुष्याणां समालम्भॊ न च दृष्टः कदा चन स कथं मानुषैर देवं यष्टुम इच्छसि शंकरम ।। २-२०-१० ।।
'The slaughter of human beings as a sacrifice to the gods has never been witnessed. Why then do you seek to perform such a sacrifice to Lord Sankara by slaughtering humans?' ।। 2-20-10 ।।
