सवर्णॊ हि सवर्णानां पशुसंज्ञां करिष्यति कॊ ऽनय एवं यथा हि तवं जरासंध वृथा मतिः ॥ २-२०-११ ॥
'Are you referring to those of your clan as mere sacrificial animals? Only a fool like you could behave in such a manner, O Jarasandha.' ॥ 2-20-11 ॥
english translation
ते तवां जञातिक्षयकरं वयम आर्तानुसारिणः जञातिवृद्धि निमित्तार्थं विनियन्तुम इहागताः ॥ २-२०-१२ ॥
'Every action yields its due fruit, regardless of circumstances. Thus, driven by our desire to aid all those in distress and to secure the prosperity of our lineage, we have come here to defeat you, who have caused harm to our kin.' ॥ 2-20-12 ॥
english translation
नास्ति लॊके पुमान अन्यः कषत्रियेष्व इति चैव यत मन्यसे स च ते राजन सुमहान बुद्धिविप्लवः ॥ २-२०-१३ ॥
'You believe there is no Kshatriya equal to you. This, O king, is a significant error in your judgment.' ॥ 2-20-13 ॥
english translation
कॊ हि जानन्न अभिजनम आत्मनः कषत्रियॊ नृप नाविशेत सवर्गम अतुलं रणानन्तरम अव्ययम ॥ २-२०-१४ ॥
'Which Kshatriya, endowed with noble character and mindful of the honor of their lineage, would not ascend to the unmatched heavenly abode by falling in honorable combat?' ॥ 2-20-14 ॥
english translation
सवर्गं हय एव समास्थाय रणयज्ञेषु दीक्षिताः यजन्ते कषत्रिया लॊकांस तद विद्धि मगधाधिपः ॥ २-२०-१५ ॥
'For indeed, aiming at heaven, initiated in the sacrifices of battle, The Kshatriyas perform sacrifices of worlds; know this, O Lord of Magadha.' ॥ 2-20-15 ॥
