ते तवां जञातिक्षयकरं वयम आर्तानुसारिणः जञातिवृद्धि निमित्तार्थं विनियन्तुम इहागताः ॥ २-२०-१२ ॥
'Every action yields its due fruit, regardless of circumstances. Thus, driven by our desire to aid all those in distress and to secure the prosperity of our lineage, we have come here to defeat you, who have caused harm to our kin.' ॥ 2-20-12 ॥
