उवाच चैतान राजासौ सवागतं वॊ ऽसत्व इति परभुः तस्य हय एतद वरतं राजन बभूव भुवि विश्रुतम ।। २-१९-३० ।।

sanskrit

'The great king welcomed them, saying, "You are welcome!" O Janamejaya, both Partha and Bhima remained silent. Addressing the monarch, Krishna said, "O king of kings, these two are currently observing a vow and will remain silent until midnight. After that hour, they will speak with you." For this vow of his, O king, became famous on earth.' ।। 2-19-30 ।।

english translation

uvAca caitAna rAjAsau savAgataM vò 'satva iti parabhuH tasya haya etada varataM rAjana babhUva bhuvi vizrutama || 2-19-30 ||
