सनातकान बराह्मणान पराप्ताञ शरुत्वा स समितिंजयः अप्य अर्धरात्रे नृपतिः परत्युद्गच्छति भारत ।। २-१९-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'At midnight, the monarch arrived at the location where his guests, dressed as Brahmanas, were staying. This victorious king faithfully upheld a vow known throughout the worlds: upon hearing of the arrival of Snataka Brahmanas at his place, even if it were at midnight, he would promptly come out to grant them an audience, O Bharata.' ।। 2-19-31 ।।

english translation

sanAtakAna barAhmaNAna parAptAJa zarutvA sa samitiMjayaH apya ardharAtre nRpatiH paratyudgacchati bhArata || 2-19-31 ||
