परतिगृह्य तु तां पूजां पार्थिवाद भगवान ऋषिः उवाच मागधं राजन परहृष्टेनान्तरात्मना ॥ २-१७-११ ॥

'Accepting the worship offered by the king, the revered sage addressed the ruler of Magadha with a pleased heart.' ॥ 2-17-11 ॥

english translation

सर्वम एतन मया राजन विज्ञातं जञानचक्षुषा पुत्रस तु शृणु राजेन्द्र यादृशॊ ऽयं भविष्यति ॥ २-१७-१२ ॥

'O king, I have perceived all this through spiritual insight. Now, O king of kings, hear about what your son will become in the future, along with his beauty, excellence, strength, and valor.' ॥ 2-17-12 ॥

english translation

अस्य वीर्यवतॊ वीर्यं नानुयास्यन्ति पार्थिवाः देवैर अपि विसृष्टानि शस्त्राण्य अस्य महीपते न रुजं जनयिष्यन्ति गिरेर इव नदीरयाः ॥ २-१७-१३ ॥

'Without a doubt, your son, growing in wealth and endowed with prowess, will attain all these attributes. Like other birds can never match the speed of Vinata's son, Garuda, the other monarchs of the earth will not equal the energy of your son, who will be endowed with great valor. All those who oppose him will surely be vanquished. Like the force of a current cannot make the slightest dent on the rocky breast of a mountain, weapons hurled at him, even by celestial beings, will fail to cause him any pain.' ॥ 2-17-13 ॥

english translation

सर्वमूर्धाभिषिक्तानाम एष मूर्ध्नि जवलिष्यति सर्वेषां निष्प्रभ करॊ जयॊतिषाम इव भास्करः ॥ २-१७-१४ ॥

'He will shine above the heads of all crowned ones, dazzling like the sun that diminishes the radiance of all other luminous bodies.' ॥ 2-17-14 ॥

english translation

एनम आसाद्य राजानः समृद्धबलवाहनाः विनाशम उपयास्यन्ति शलभा इव पावकम ॥ २-१७-१५ ॥

'Your son will strip all monarchs of their splendor. Even powerful kings with vast armies, numerous vehicles, and animals, upon encountering your son, will perish like insects in a blaze.' ॥ 2-17-15 ॥
