एष शरियं समुदितां सर्वराज्ञां गरहीष्यति वर्षास्व इवॊद्धत जला नदीर नदनदीपतिः ॥ २-१७-१६ ॥
'This child will seize the increasing wealth of all kings like the ocean receiving rivers swollen with the water of the rainy season.' ॥ 2-17-16 ॥
english translation
eSa zariyaM samuditAM sarvarAjJAM garahISyati varSAsva ivòddhata jalA nadIra nadanadIpatiH ॥ 2-17-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएष धारयिता सम्यक चातुर्वर्ण्यं महाबलः शुभाशुभम इव सफीता सर्वसस्य धराधरा ॥ २-१७-१७ ॥
'Like the vast earth that sustains all kinds of produce, supporting both good and evil, this child endowed with great strength will uphold all the four orders of men.' ॥ 2-17-17 ॥
english translation
eSa dhArayitA samyaka cAturvarNyaM mahAbalaH zubhAzubhama iva saphItA sarvasasya dharAdharA ॥ 2-17-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअस्याज्ञा वशगाः सर्वे भविष्यन्ति नराधिपाः सर्वभूतात्मभूतस्य वायॊर इव शरीरिणः ॥ २-१७-१८ ॥
'All the kings of the earth will obediently follow the commands of this child, just as every embodied creature depends on Vayu, who is as dear as life itself to beings.' ॥ 2-17-18 ॥

asyAjJA vazagAH sarve bhaviSyanti narAdhipAH sarvabhUtAtmabhUtasya vAyòra iva zarIriNaH ॥ 2-17-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएष रुद्रं महादेवं तरिपुरान्त करं हरम सर्वलॊकेष्व अति बलः सवयं दरक्ष्यति मागधः ॥ २-१७-१९ ॥
'This prince of Magadha, the mightiest of all men in the world, will see with his own eyes the god of gods, known as Rudra or Hara, the destroyer of Tripura.' ॥ 2-17-19 ॥

eSa rudraM mahAdevaM taripurAnta karaM harama sarvalòkeSva ati balaH savayaM darakSyati mAgadhaH ॥ 2-17-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं बरुवन्न एव मुनिः सवकार्यार्थं विचिन्तयन विसर्जयाम आस नृपं बृहद्रथम अथारिहन ॥ २-१७-२० ॥
'"O vanquisher of all enemies," saying this, the sage, contemplating his own duties, dismissed King Brihadratha.' ॥ 2-17-20 ॥
