ययातेस तव एव भॊजानां विस्तरॊ ऽतिगुणॊ महान भजते च महाराज विस्तरः स चतुर्दशम ॥ २-१३-६ ॥
'The descendants of Yayati and the Bhojas are great in both number and accomplishments. O king, these dynasties are now scattered all over the earth.' ॥ 2-13-6 ॥

yayAtesa tava eva bhòjAnAM vistarò 'tiguNò mahAna bhajate ca mahArAja vistaraH sa caturdazama ॥ 2-13-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेषां तथैव तां लक्ष्मीं सर्वक्षत्रम उपासते सॊ ऽवनीं मध्यमां भुक्त्वा मिथॊ भेदेष्व अमन्यत ॥ २-१३-७ ॥
'All the Kshatriyas revere the prosperity of those monarchs. However, currently, O king, Jarasandha has surpassed the prosperity of all these kings and asserted his dominance over them through his power.' ॥ 2-13-7 ॥

teSAM tathaiva tAM lakSmIM sarvakSatrama upAsate sò 'vanIM madhyamAM bhuktvA mithò bhedeSva amanyata ॥ 2-13-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचतुर्युस तव अपरॊ राजा यस्मिन्न एकशतॊ ऽभवत स साम्राज्यं जरासंधः पराप्तॊ भवति यॊनितः ॥ २-१३-८ ॥
'The fourth king after you, in whom there will be one hundred, That Jarasandha will obtain the empire by birth.' ॥ 2-13-8 ॥

caturyusa tava aparò rAjA yasminna ekazatò 'bhavata sa sAmrAjyaM jarAsaMdhaH parAptò bhavati yònitaH ॥ 2-13-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतं स राजा महाप्राज्ञ संश्रित्य किल सर्वशः राजन सेनापतिर जातः शिशुपालः परतापवान ॥ २-१३-९ ॥
'O monarch, endowed with great energy, King Shishupala has placed himself under his protection and has become the commander-in-chief of his forces.' ॥ 2-13-9 ॥

taM sa rAjA mahAprAjJa saMzritya kila sarvazaH rAjana senApatira jAtaH zizupAlaH paratApavAna ॥ 2-13-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतम एव च महाराज शिष्यवत समुपस्थितः वक्रः करूषाधिपतिर माया यॊधी महाबलः ॥ २-१३-१० ॥
'And, O great king, the mighty Vaka, king of the Karushas, adept in battle through his mastery of illusions, serves Jarasandha as his loyal follower.' ॥ 2-13-10 ॥

tama eva ca mahArAja ziSyavata samupasthitaH vakraH karUSAdhipatira mAyA yòdhI mahAbalaH ॥ 2-13-10 ॥
