[क] सर्वैर गुणैर महाराज राजसूयं तवम अर्हसि जानतस तव एव ते सर्वं किं चिद वक्ष्यामि भारत ॥ २-१३-१ ॥
'Krishna said, 'O great king, you possess all the qualities essential for performing the Rajasuya sacrifice. You are knowledgeable about everything, O Bharata. Nevertheless, I will still tell you something.'' ॥ 2-13-1 ॥
english translation
जामदग्न्येन रामेण कषत्रं यद अवशेषितम तस्माद अवरजं लॊके यद इदं कषत्रसंज्ञितम ॥ २-१३-२ ॥
'Those who are now known as Kshatriyas in the world are inferior in every way to the Kshatriyas that Rama, the son of Jamadagni, exterminated.' ॥ 2-13-2 ॥
english translation
कृतॊ ऽयं कुलसंकल्पः कषत्रियैर वसुधाधिप निदेशवाग्भिस तत ते ह विदितं भरतर्षभ ॥ २-१३-३ ॥
'O lord of the earth, O bull of the Bharata race, you are aware of the form of rule these Kshatriyas have established within their order, guided by instructions handed down through generations, and you know how capable they are of performing the Rajasuya sacrifice.' ॥ 2-13-3 ॥

ऐलस्येक्ष्वाकु वंशस्य परकृतिं परिचक्षते राजानः शरेणि बद्धाश च ततॊ ऽनये कषत्रिया भुवि ॥ २-१३-४ ॥
'The numerous royal lines and other ordinary Kshatriyas all claim descent from Aila and Ikshvaku. The descendants of Aila, O king, as well as the kings of Ikshvaku's race, are each divided into a hundred separate dynasties, know this, O bull of the Bharata race.' ॥ 2-13-4 ॥

ऐल वंश्यास तु ये राजंस तथैवेक्ष्वाकवॊ नृपाः तानि चैकशतं विद्धि कुलानि भरतर्षभ ॥ २-१३-५ ॥
'O king, know that the royal dynasties of Aila and Ikshvaku, O lord of the Bharata race, each consist of a hundred lineages.' ॥ 2-13-5 ॥
