[व] ऋषेस तद वचनं शरुत्वा निशश्वास युधिष्ठिरः चिन्तयन राजसूयाप्तिं न लेभे शर्म भारत ।। २-१२-१ ।।
'Vaisampayana narrated, "Upon hearing Narada's words, Yudhishthira sighed deeply. O Bharata, consumed by thoughts of the Rajasuya, the king found no peace of mind."' ।। 2-12-1 ।।
राजर्षीणां हि तं शरुत्वा महिमानं महात्मनाम यज्वनां कर्मभिः पुण्यैर लॊकप्राप्तिं समीक्ष्य च ।। २-१२-२ ।।
'Having heard of the glorious achievements of the illustrious monarchs of old, and being confident in the attainment of heavenly realms by those who perform sacred deeds.' ।। 2-12-2 ।।
हरिश चन्द्रं च राजर्षिं रॊचमानं विशेषतः यज्वानं यज्ञम आहर्तुं राजसूयम इयेष सः ।। २-१२-३ ।।
'King Yudhishthira, especially thinking of the royal sage Harischandra who conducted the great sacrifice, desired to prepare for the Rajasuya sacrifice.' ।। 2-12-3 ।।
युधिष्ठिरस ततः सर्वान अर्चयित्वा सभा सदः परत्यर्चितश च तैः सर्वैर यज्ञायैव मनॊ दधे ।। २-१२-४ ।।
'After worshiping his counselors and others present in his assembly, and being honored in return by them, he began discussing the sacrifice with them.' ।। 2-12-4 ।।
