भूयॊ चाद्भुतवीर्यौजा धर्मम एवानुपालयन किं हितं सर्वलॊकानां भवेद इति मनॊ दधे ॥ २-१२-६ ॥
'Yet, considering virtue and righteousness, that prince of remarkable energy and prowess also aimed to discern what would benefit all his subjects.' ॥ 2-12-6 ॥
english translation
अनुगृह्णन परजाः सर्वाः सर्वधर्मविदां वरः अविशेषेण सर्वेषां हितं चक्रे युधिष्ठिरः ॥ २-१२-७ ॥
'Yudhishthira, foremost among the virtuous, always kind to his subjects, worked tirelessly for the welfare of all without discrimination.' ॥ 2-12-7 ॥

एवंगते ततस तस्मिन पितरीवाश्वसञ जनाः न तस्य विद्यते दवेष्टा ततॊ ऽसयाजात शत्रुता ॥ २-१२-८ ॥
'He cast off anger and pride, always proclaiming, "Give each their due." Throughout his realm, the resounding echo was, "Blessed be Dharma! Blessed be Dharma!" Conducting himself in this manner and offering paternal reassurance to all, no one in the kingdom harbored hostile feelings towards him.' ॥ 2-12-8 ॥

स मन्त्रिणः समानाय्य भरातॄंश च वदतां वरः राजसूयं परति तदा पुनः पुनर अपृच्छत ॥ २-१२-९ ॥
'That best of speakers, having summoned his ministers and brothers, Then asked them again and again about the Rajasuya sacrifice.' ॥ 2-12-9 ॥

ते पृच्छ्यमानाः सहिता वचॊ ऽरथ्यं मन्त्रिणस तदा युधिष्ठिरं महाप्राज्ञं यियक्षुम इदम अब्रुवन ॥ २-१२-१० ॥
'The ministers, addressed collectively by the wise Yudhishthira who desired to perform the sacrifice, responded with these weighty words:' ॥ 2-12-10 ॥
