'A king who already possesses a kingdom desires all the attributes of an emperor through the Rajasuya sacrifice, which aids in acquiring the qualities of Varuna.' ।। 2-12-11 ।।
'O prince of the Kuru lineage, your advisors believe that as you are worthy of the attributes of an emperor, the time has indeed come for you to conduct the Rajasuya sacrifice.' ।। 2-12-12 ।।
'The time has come for you to perform that sacrifice, wherein Rishis of austere vows kindle six fires with Sama Veda mantras, due to your possession of Kshatriya wealth.' ।। 2-12-13 ।।
'After the Rajasuya sacrifice, when the performer is enthroned in the sovereignty of the empire, he receives the rewards of all sacrifices, including the Agnihotra. It is for this reason that he is hailed as the conqueror of all.' ।। 2-12-14 ।।
समर्थॊ ऽसि महाबाहॊ सर्वे ते वशगा वयम अविचार्य महाराज राजसूये मनॊ कुरु ।। २-१२-१५ ।।
'O mighty-armed one, you are fully capable of performing this sacrifice. We all pledge our obedience to you. Great king, soon you will be ready to undertake the Rajasuya sacrifice.' ।। 2-12-15 ।।
