अलाभे पुनरेतेषां सम्बन्धेन तदीशितुः ॥ क्वचिच्छुभानाञ्च दशास्वष्टमेशदशासु च ॥ २६ ॥
If these again are not found, [death comes] sometimes in the periods of benefics (shubha) related (sambandha) to that lord, and in the periods of the lord of the 8th (ashtamesha).
english translation
केवलानाञ्च पापानां दशासु निधनं क्वचित् ॥ कल्पनीयं बुधैर्नृणां मारकाणामदर्शने ॥ २७ ॥
When death-inflicting [planets] (maraka) are not seen, the learned should sometimes posit the death (nidhana) of people in the periods of malefics (papa) alone.
english translation
मारकैः सहसम्बन्धान्निहन्ता पापकृच्छनिः ॥ अतिक्रम्येतरान् सर्वान् भवत्येव न संशयः ॥ २८ ॥
Through association with death-inflicting planets (maraka), Saturn, the harm-doer (papakrit), becomes the chief bringer of death (nihanta), surpassing all the others; there is no doubt.

न दिशेयुर्ग्रहाः सर्वे स्वदशासु स्वभुक्तिषु ॥ शुभाशुभफलं नृणामात्मभावानुरूपतः ॥ २९ ॥
Not all planets give people auspicious and inauspicious results (shubhashubha-phala) in their own periods (svadasha) and own sub-periods (svabhukti) according to the nature of their own houses (atmabhava).

आत्मसम्बन्धिनो ये च ये वा निजसधर्म्मिणः ॥ तेषामन्तर्दशास्वेव दिशन्ति स्वदशाफलम् ॥ ३० ॥
[A period lord] gives the result of its own period (svadasha-phala) only in the sub-periods (antardasha) of those planets that are related to it (atmasambandhin) or share its own character (nijasadharmin).
