बुधस्तदनु चन्द्रोऽपि भवेत्तदनु तद्विधः ॥ न रन्ध्रेशत्वदोषस्तु सूर्य्याचन्द्रमसोर्भवेत् ॥ ११ ॥
Mercury, then the Moon too, becomes of that kind in turn; but no defect of 8th-lordship (randhreshatva-dosha) arises for the Sun and Moon.

कुजस्य कर्म्मनेतृत्वप्रयुक्ता शुभकारिता ॥ त्रिकोणस्यापि नेतृत्वे न कर्म्मेशत्वमात्रतः ॥ १२ ॥
The auspiciousness of Mars that comes with lordship of the 10th (karma) [arises] when he is lord of a trine (trikona) as well, not from lordship of the 10th alone.
english translation
यद्यद्भावगतौ वापि यद्यद्भावेशसंयुतौ ॥ तत्तत्फलानि प्रबलौ प्रदिशेतां तमोग्रहौ ॥ १३ ॥
Whatever houses they occupy, or with whatever house-lords they are conjoined, the two shadowy planets (tamograhau), when strong, shall give the corresponding results.
english translation
केन्द्रत्रिकोणपतयः सम्बन्धेन परस्परम् ॥ इतरैरप्रसक्ताश्चेद्विशेषफलदायकाः ॥ १४ ॥
The lords of angles (kendra) and trines (trikona), through relationship (sambandha) with one another, if unconnected with other [planets], are givers of special results (visheshaphaladayaka).

केन्द्रत्रिकोणनेतारौ दोषयुक्तावपि स्वयम् ॥ सम्बन्धमात्राद्बलिनौ भवेतां योगकारकौ ॥ १५ ॥
The lords of an angle (kendra) and a trine (trikona), even if they themselves carry a defect (dosha), become strong yoga-makers (yogakaraka) through relationship (sambandha) alone.
