परितोषितोऽपि दास्यति न वेत्यर्थसंशयः ॥ २१ ॥
Even if he is satisfied, one does not know 'whether he will pay or not. The profit is doubtful [artha sanshaya].

शुद्धसंशय: अर्थसंशय-सन्तुष्ट होने पर भी देगा या नहीं ? यह अर्थसंशय है॥ २१ ॥

निष्पीडितार्थमफलमुत्सृजन्त्या अर्थमलभमानाया धर्मः स्यान्न वेति धर्मसंशयः ॥ २२ ॥
Having sqeezed his money from him without violence, she throws him out, seeking only her own advantage, and does not consider that it is unethical: her morality is doubtful [dharma sanshaya].
english translation
धर्मसंशय - जिसका समस्त धन निचोड़ लिया हो और उससे कुछ धन का मिल पाने के कारण उसे छोड़ने को उद्यत हो, अर्थ न मिल पाने पर उसे छोड़ना वेश्या के लिये धर्म होगा या नहीं ? - इस प्रकार का संशय धर्मसंशय है ॥ २२ ॥

अभिप्रेतमुपलभ्य परिचारकमन्यं वा क्षुद्रं गत्वा कामः स्यान्न वेति कामसंशयः ॥ २३ ॥
Having found someone she likes, she makes inquiries, through one of her assistants or some other low person, to find out whether or not he makes love well. This is erotic doubt [kama sanshaya].

कामसंशय - अभीष्ट नायक को पाकर भी किसी अन्य आत्मीय सेवक या क्षुद्रव्यक्ति के निकट जाकर 'इसके साथ समागम करने पर काम होगा या नहीं ? इस प्रकार का सन्देह करना कामसंशय कहलाता है ॥ २३ ॥

प्रभाववान् क्षुद्रोऽनभिगतोऽनर्थं करिष्यति न वेत्यनर्थसंशयः ॥ २४ ॥
Because he comes of a good family, she believes he will not behave like a good-for-nothing. This is doubt concerning risks [anartha sanshaya].

अनर्थसंशय - प्रभावशाली नीच पुरुष समागम का अवसर न मिलने पर अनर्थ करेगा या नहीं ? – यह अनर्थसंशय है ॥ २४ ॥

अत्यन्तनिष्फलः सक्तः परित्यक्तः पितृलोकं यायात्तत्राधर्मः स्यान्न वेत्यधर्मसंशयः ॥ २५ ॥
Having abandoned the one with whom she had a relationship, he has taken the road to death because he was completely ruined. In this case, does she commit a violation of her duty [adharma]? In this case there appears a doubt as to an evil deed [adharma sanshaya].

अधर्मसंशय-समागम के लिये उत्सुक निर्धन नायक को प्रयोजनहीन मानकर छोड़ दिया गया हो और फिर यह सोचा जाये कि यदि वह मर जाये तो अधर्म होगा या नहीं ? - ऐसा सन्देह अधर्मसंशय कहलाता है ॥ २५ ॥
