पाञ्चालिकी च चतुःषष्टिरपरा तस्याः प्रयोगानन्ववेत्य सांप्रयोगिके वक्ष्यामः कामस्य तदात्मकत्वात् ॥ १६ ॥

उक्त कलाओं से भिन्न चौसठ पांचालिकी (पांचालदेश में प्रचलित) कलाएँ हैं। इनके प्रयोगों को साम्प्रयोगिक अधिकरण में यथावसर कहेंगे, क्योंकि काम का स्वभाव तदनुकूल ही होता है। ॥ १६॥

लभते गणिकाशब्दं स्थानं च जनसंसदि ॥ १७ ॥
Prostitutes (veshya) who are beautiful, intelligent, and well educated have an honored place in society and are known as courtesans (ganika).

कलाज्ञान का फल शील, रूप और गुण से युक्त वेश्या इन कलाओं से उत्कर्ष प्राप्त कर गणिका का विशिष्ट पद प्राप्त कर लेती है और उच्चस्तरीय नागरिक गोष्ठियों में स्थान पाती है ॥ १७ ॥

पूजिता सा सदा राज्ञा गुणवद्धिश्च संस्तुता । प्रार्थनीयाभिगम्याच लक्ष्यभूता च जायते ॥ १८ ॥
They are respected by kings; respectable people sing their praises; respected for their art, they live in the sight of all.

राजा उसका सदैव सम्मान करता है, गुणी लोग उसकी प्रशंसा करते हैं और कला का ज्ञान सीखने वाले लोग प्रार्थना करते हैं, इस प्रकार वह सभी का लक्ष्यबिन्दु हो जाती है ॥ १८ ॥

योगज्ञा राजपुत्री च महामात्रसुता तथा । सहस्वान्तः पुरमपि स्ववशे कुरुते पतिम् ॥ १९ ॥
They associate with the daughters of kings and ministers and can get themselves married to a man who owns a thousand dwellings.

इन कलाओं के प्रयोगों को जानने वाली राजपुत्री और मन्त्रिपुत्री (सामन्त, सरदार या उच्च वैभवसम्पन्न व्यक्ति की पुत्री) सहस्रों सपत्नियों के होने पर भी पति को अपने अधीन कर लेती है ॥ ९९॥

तथा पतिवियोगे च व्यसनं दारुणं गता । देशान्तरेऽपि विद्याभिः सा सुखेनैव जीवति ॥ २० ॥
Then, divorcing their husband, or if a misfortune should happen to him, they go to another country and live comfortably on their savings.

और इन कलाओं में निपुण स्त्री, पति के विदेश जाने पर, वैधव्य आदि भीषण संकट आ जाने पर और अन्य देश में स्थित होने पर भी, इन विद्याओं से सुखपूर्वक जीवनयापन कर सकती है॥ २० ॥
