कुलजासु तु प्रीत्या वर्तेत ॥ ४१ ॥
She behaves affectionately with her lover's other wives, who are virtuous and respectable.

दाक्षिण्येन परिजने सर्वत्र सपरिहासा मित्त्रेषु प्रतिपत्तिः । कलासु कौशलमधिकस्य च ज्ञानम् ॥ ४२ ॥
She is amiable with the staff and merry with her lover's friends. If she is skilled in the arts, she teaches them to the other wives.

परिजनों एवं मित्रों के साथ व्यवहार-नायक के पारिवारिक सदस्यों के साथ शालीनता और शिष्टता का व्यवहार करे और मित्रों के साथ हास-परिहासपूर्वक वार्तालाप करे। कलाओं में कुशलता और अभिज्ञता का परिचय दे ॥ ४२ ॥

रहसि च कलया चतुःषष्ट्यानुवर्तेत। सपत्नीनां च स्वयमुपकुर्यात् । तासाम- पत्येष्वाभरणदानम् । तेषु स्वामिवदुपचारः । मण्डनकानि वेषानादरेण कुर्वीत । परिजने मित्रवर्गे चाधिकं विश्राणनम्। समाजापानकोद्यानयात्राविहारशीलता चेति पुनर्भूवृत्तम् ॥ ४४ ॥
The widow's role consists of secretly demonstrating the sixty-four arts of pleasure, of assisting the other wives in them herself, of making gifts to their children, of behaving maternally with them, decking them out and dressing them with care. She shows great patience with servants and friends and willingly takes part in parties, drinking bouts, walks, and amusements.

परामर्श- एकान्त में नायक की इच्छानुरूप चौंसठ कामकलाओं का प्रदर्शन करे। अपनी सपत्नियों (नायक की धर्मपत्नियों) का स्वेच्छा से उपकार करे उनके बच्चों को आभूषण आदि दे। अभिभाविका के समान उनकी सेवा-शुश्रूषा (लालन-पालन) करे। आदर- सत्कारपूर्वक उन्हें वस्त्राभूषणों से सज्जित करे। नायक के पारिवारिक सदस्यों और मित्रों के प्रति उदारता दिखाये उत्सव, मद्यपान, गोष्ठी और उद्यान-विहार के प्रति अधिकाधिक रुचि दिखाये। इस प्रकार पुनर्भूवृत्त पूर्ण हुआ ॥ ४४ ॥

दुर्भगा तु सापत्नकपीडिता या तासामधिकमिव पत्यावुपचरेत् तामाश्रयेत् । प्रकाम्यानि च कलाविज्ञानानि दर्शयेत् । दौर्भाग्याद्रहस्यानामभावः ॥ ४५ ॥
If one of the other wives suffers from barrenness, the widow shows more attention to her than to those that have children, and protects her. If she so desires, she teaches her the arts.
english translation
दुर्भगावृत्त – दुर्भगा तो सपत्नियों से पीड़ित होती है, अतः उसे ऐसी सपत्नी का आश्रय लेना चाहिये जिसे पति अधिक प्रेम एवं सम्मान देता हो। दर्शनीय कलाओं को उसे दिखाये, क्योंकि वैदग्ध्य ही दुभंगता की निवृत्ति का कारण है ॥ ४५ ॥
